Accepted & Nonaccepted Materials
Know Before You Throw: Accepted & Non-Accepted Materials
Landfills are designated sites for the safe disposal of waste, regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to protect the environment and public health. The EPA sets strict guidelines on what materials can be accepted, prohibiting hazardous waste, certain chemicals, and other pollutants that could contaminate soil and water. Compliance with these regulations ensures responsible waste management and sustainability.
